Who we are

Baby World: Baby Tracker ("Baby World") is published on Google Play by VKTech-RO, operated by VASILOIU DANIEL-MIHAI PFA, CUI RO38435029, Romania ("we"). You can reach us at contact@babyworld.vktech.ro.

Using the app

• We give you a personal, non-transferable right to install and use Baby World on your devices, for yourself and your family, not for commercial use.
• The app, its texts, pictures and sounds belong to us or to those who licensed them to us. Please don't copy, sell or modify the app, except where the law allows it.
• What you enter is yours. Your data stays on your phone and we have no rights to it. See the privacy policy.

Free, trial and Baby World Plus

• Free to download. For 7 days from when you add your first child, everything is unlocked so you can try it all.
• After the trial, the basics stay free: Today, logging sleep, feeds, pumping and events with the last 14 days of history, Growth with the WHO curves, Sounds, Reminders and the phone's Google backup.
• Baby World Plus adds the Leaps, the Calendar, PDF reports, your full history, the clothes and foot charts, and backup to a file. Nothing is deleted when Plus ends; older entries show again when you have Plus.
• Subscription through Google Play. Plus is a subscription bought in the app through Google Play. The price and the billing period are shown by Google Play before you confirm. It renews automatically until you cancel it in Google Play (Payments and subscriptions → Subscriptions); after cancelling, Plus stays active until the end of the period you paid for.
• One subscription per birth. It covers the children of one birth: one child, twins or triplets. Each child with a different date of birth adds 50% to the price, which Google Play shows before you confirm. If you remove an extra child, the lower price applies from the next renewal; the current period is not refunded automatically.
• Payments and refunds are handled by Google Play, under its refund rules. You can also write to us and we'll help.
• If we change the price, Google Play tells you before the change applies to you, as its rules require.

Your right of withdrawal

As a consumer in the EU you normally have 14 days to withdraw from a contract made online, without giving a reason (in Romania, OUG 34/2014). Plus is digital content that starts working as soon as you subscribe. When you subscribe, you ask for Plus to start immediately and you accept that you lose the right of withdrawal once Plus is unlocked. This is why the 7-day free trial comes first: you can try everything before you pay.

This doesn't affect Google Play's refund rules, or your legal right to have Plus work as described. If something you paid for doesn't work, write to us and we'll fix it or make it right.

Not medical advice

Baby World helps you keep notes and see patterns. It is not a medical device and does not diagnose anything.

• Growth curves and percentiles (WHO Child Growth Standards), sleep and feeding guide values, clothes and foot estimates, developmental leaps and sound levels are general information. The leaps are a popular theory with limited evidence.
• Hints such as "worth showing to your pediatrician" are reminders, not a diagnosis, and no hint does not mean that everything is fine.
• Your child's health booklet and your pediatrician remain the reference. For any worry about your child's health, ask your pediatrician. In an emergency, call 112.

Our responsibility

• We build Baby World with care and fix problems we learn about, but we can't promise it will always work without errors.
• Your data lives only on your phone. If the phone is lost, reset or the app is uninstalled, the data is gone unless you have the phone's Google backup on or a saved copy. Keeping backups is up to you.
• We are not responsible for decisions taken only on the basis of the information shown in the app; see Not medical advice.
• Nothing in these terms limits our responsibility where the law does not allow it to be limited, for example for harm caused on purpose or by gross negligence, or your mandatory rights as a consumer.

Law and disputes

These terms are governed by Romanian law. If you live in another EU country, you keep the protection of the mandatory consumer rules of that country.

If something goes wrong, please write to us first; most problems are solved quickly that way. You can also contact the Romanian consumer protection authority, ANPC (anpc.ro), use its alternative dispute resolution service (SAL), or go to the competent courts.

Changes to these terms

If we change these terms, we update the date at the top of this page. If a change matters for you, for example for Plus, we tell you in the app before it applies. Changes to the price of a subscription are announced by Google Play.
